Managing Cognitive and Behavioral Symptoms in Parkinson’s Disease is a two-day, non-accredited educational course for advanced practice providers hosted by the non-profit Institute for Patient Access.
The course will address practice gaps in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease patients who suffer from cognitive and behavioral symptoms and help advance practice providers develop proficiency in the treatment of patients who suffer from progressive cognitive, behavioral, and psychiatric symptoms related to Parkinson’s disease.

Lecture topics include:
- cognitive and psychiatric symptoms and treatments
- sleep disruptions
- patient challenges
- caregiver burnout
- interdisciplinary resources
Small-group case discussions will focus on the approach, diagnostic, and treatment plan in patients. Attendees will receive one night of hotel accommodations and up to $500 in reimbursement for airfare and transportation. All meals are provided.

The Institute for Patient Access (IfPA) is an education and research organization that promotes informed dialogue about issues impacting patient access to approved therapies and appropriate clinical care. This non-accredited educational program is being held as an extension of the annual meeting of the Southern Clinical Neurological Society.
